OUYA was a next generation video game company that built on its own version of Android. OUYA sold its gaming consoles (including one controller) for $99 to customers who gain ed access to a library of nearly 400 games. All games on the OUYA platform were free-to-play, or had a free trial period. To game developers, OUYA offerred freedom from the “big three” console makers’ pricing/rules and the opportunity to gain access to a rich gaming community and a share of the revenues.
