In October 2020, Boom publicly unveiled its XB-1 demonstrator. On March 22nd, 2024, XB-1 safely and successfully executed its first flight at the Mojave Air and Space Port in Mojave, CA.

Boom Supersonic is an aviation company developing a Mach 2+ supersonic commercial aircraft - the Overture. This aircraft will reduce flight times for long-haul flights by up to 2x, dramatically altering the cost-benefit of long-distance air travel.
